Yes, but to avoid additional toll charges after you return the rental car please remember to delete the rental car license plate from your NextPass account. To add a rental car to your NextPass account go to the Profile section and register the license plate at My Vehicles.
If you keep the same license plate that you register in your account, your new car will be covered without any lapse in coverage.
If you sell your car, but you maintain the same license plate for your new vehicle - no action is required. NextPass will still work for your new car as it is associated with the license plate number and not the vehicle. If you sell your car including the license plate, open the NextPass App, go to My Vehicles, delete the license plate of the vehicle you sold.

If you didn't keep the license plate, you will be liable for all tolls incurred on your previous vehicle until you delete the car from your account. Make sure that you immediately delete your old car from your account. From the menu on the bottom of the app, select Account, then tap My vehicles, then tap "Delete" to remove a vehicle from your account. Then, add your new vehicle.

Absolutely. Once you get your permanent plate, in the app menu, tap Account, then tap My vehicles. Then add another vehicle with the new license plate number and delete the vehicle with the temporary plate.
First, contact the issuing Department of Motor Vehicles since you are still liable for all tolls on your vehicle. Then in your NextPass app, tap My Vehicles from the menu and delete your vehicle from your account.

If a message appears saying that your license plate is already registered it means that someone else has already enrolled your license plate. If you don’t know who has registered your license plate, please contact us at support@NextPass.io or call us at 1-888-814-7766 and we will help you to resolve the issue.
