E-Z Pass and Transponders/Tags

FAQs

Unfortunately, missed toll payments or violation notices can't be covered by NextPass retroactively.

NextPass is a toll payment solution that doesn't require any physical equipment like transponders or tags. A transponder or tag is a small physical device used to pay tolls electronically.

To ensure you pay toll trips with NextPass, please make NextPass your only tolling payment provider. Remember that with NextPass you do NOT need a tag or a transpoder so those should be removed from your vehicle.

If you switch to NextPass as your main tolling payment provider, make sure to follow these steps: 1) Download the NextPass app or sign up on the website. 2) Set up your NextPass account and complete registration. 3) Wait for your vehicle to be activated. 4) Remove any existing transponder or toll tag from your vehicle. 5) Drive with NextPass!
